Spotlight on RoomMates
One morning early last week, one of our sales team members called me from the road and almost breathlessly reported that he’d seen a photograph of President Barack Obama with one of our wall decals in the local newspaper. Although we’re accustomed to being in the spotlight, this was something I had to see to believe. I turned to the internet to confirm his report, and lo and behold, there were actually at least two photographs available showing the President with one of our giant wall decal designs!
In this first shot, you can spot President Obama’s oldest daughter, Malia, standing to the left of a familiar sheet of wall stickers, and a piece of the packaging taped to the wall behind her. Does that tree look familiar?
The second picture shows the President painting a quote on one wall, while in the background, Malia is assembling the wall decal seen earlier. If you haven’t recognized it yet, this design is our Kids Tree Giant Wall Decal. It looks like she was following the instructions very closely!
The President and his family were present at the Browne Education Campus in Washington, DC, last week, volunteering their time and hard work in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. day. They spent their time building bookshelves and painting inspiring phrases on the walls. Many others spent time on Monday volunteering in honor of MLK’s life, legacy, and inspiring messages.
Although we couldn’t be there in person to volunteer, I know everyone at RoomMates is extremely honored to have one of our wall decal designs used in the public service efforts last week! We can only hope that Malia enjoyed her time putting together the Kids Tree Giant Wall Decal, and that the Browne Education Campus enjoys their new wall décor.
