Are you looking for a creative way to keep track of your family? Look no further! This clever idea, as sent in by Jaime Clay of Our Journey, combines our Tree Branches wall decals with inexpensive picture frames to produce a gorgeous, yet easily changable, family tree right on your wall! It's a great way to remember your heritage, or teach growing children about their family. Read on to find out how to accomplish this design yourself.
What you’ll need:
- A package of our Tree Branches wall decals
- Small picture frames
- Photos of family or loved ones (appropriately sized to fit the frames)
- Poster putty or nails (to hang the frames)
- Additional wall decals or other creative accents
One of our most versatile designs, our Tree Branches wall decal set encourages creativity and offers endless decorating possibilities! Each branch, twig, and leaf is individually printed on a pre-cut liner sheet, so you can create a your own custom tree. And since RoomMates are repositionable, there's never any need to worry about getting things perfect on the first try!

How to create this design:
1. Clean the wall
Make sure the wall is free of dirt and dust.
We do not recommend applying RoomMates to textured walls. If the wall has been recently painted, please allow at least ten days for the paint to “cure” before applying any wall decals.

2. Apply “Tree Branches” to your wall
Since each element of the tree is individually cut, you can customize your design any way you like. The tree can be as small or as large as you need, and can always be changed later if more family members are added.
3. Frame your photos
Place photos of loved ones into small frames. Don't be afraid to experiment with colored frames or funny photos. Be creative!
Try black and white photos for a classic look.
4. Decorate your tree!
Hang your framed images around the branches. We suggest using poster putty to hold the frames in place so you can move them with the tree if you like!
Step back and take a look! Remember, RoomMates can be removed and reapplied so don't be afraid to experiment. You may want to add additional decorations or accents like alphabet decals or paper-mache letters, like in the example above. You now have an attractive family tree that can grow with your family right on your wall.
